Shangri-La Plaza’s The Wedding Project is here to make bridal dreams come true.
We were invited to attend the media launch for this bridal fair and as the host for the program aptly described it, it’s a “fabulous one-stop-shop for the discerning bride.”
Apparently, this is Shangri-la Plaza’s first time to host a bridal fair. So, we asked Shangri-La Plaza’s EVP & GM Ms. Lala Fojas what spurred the idea to have one now.
“We actually like to be able to create a venue for our retail partners to be able to show our customers what they have to offer. We do this by groups or categories and we have actually come to realize that for weddings, we do have a lot that we can offer. You can have your bridal gowns, you can have your jewelry, you can have your invitations and even your honeymoon venues and even the wines! And we complimented this with professionals who are in the industry like the wedding planners and those who do designs and set ups.”
The fair has an intimate set up which makes for an easy scan to see how good a combination it was to have the Shangri-La Plaza’s retailers and top wedding suppliers in one venue.

When I think of ‘bridal registry’ Rustan’s really is the first to come to mind. For a time, it’s the only one that comes to my mind. In the same way, my mindset was that’s what the Rustan’s Weddings & Beyond is all about. Here, I discovered that you can also go for jewelry consultation, get a personal shopper, go for floral arrangement consultation & beauty consultation. Just with those, you can accomplish at least three major things in your must-do wedding preparation list.
