Mel & Charlene didn’t have to look much further to have the romantic & fun prenup session they wanted. Tagaytay’s cool weather and gorgeous greens make for a perfect setting to capture such a light & lovely mood.
“We only had a few days of vacation that time and wanted to do the prenup at a nearby place. We both live in Cavite. Hence, Tagaytay is the best bet for us. Plus, we wanted a venue that has a vast garden and romantic ambience to it. We also wanted the venue to be somewhere cold (at least colder compared in the city ) for everyone (esp our teams) to feel comfortable too.
Aside from their location, the styling & props definitely make for a good combination of a romantic & fun prenup. Mel & Charlene had three sets. They have a rugged one graced by a Porche reminiscent of the fast and the furious feel all set for a romantic adventure. Then they have a more casual, sporty vintage set and a dreamy romantic vintage formal one. What makes it fun really is the experience they had while doing the shoot.
“It was actually our second shoot and we had a blast! It was perfect! We had loads of fun as we were able to work with brilliant teams who are also very easy and fun to work with! We told our teams (Michelle & Hiyas of Tipping Point Collective & Nicolai of Nicolai Photography), prior the shoot, that we want to have a more casual shoot wherein we could be ourselves and just for everyone to have a fun and stress free day. Everyone took really good care of us from Terence, our make-up artist, photographers, videographers from NicePrint & our stylists. It felt like we’re one big, happy family. Working with them was a breeze, Mel and I were super comfortable during the shoot and I think it can be seen in our photos. It was the kind of experience that we have envisioned of having and it is definitely one of the most memorable parts of our wedding journey. Most importantly, Mel was over-the-moon happy and that made me one satisfied and grateful bride-to-be!”
Your prenup session is one of the important activities you’ll be doing as a couple before getting hitched – if you chose to have one. Your photos that day will remain a memento for years to come and attached to those is the memory of what happened during your session. So, how do you make the most of it? Charlene shares these top three useful tips based on their experience with their romantic & fun prenup session.
1) Get to know your teams and make an effort for them to get to know you too.
“I would recommend for soon-to-weds to meet their suppliers prior the prenup shoot or if a personal meeting is not possible, at least make sure to have a brief phone conversation with them or converse with them via email. Be open to them about how you envision your prenup shoot and give them an idea on what your couple personality is like.”
2) Trust and respect your teams.
“While it is okay to give your inputs, make sure that you don’t overstep them. Believe in their talents and they’ll give you no less than their 100%. When the teams know that you trust them, I’m sure that they will be more inspired and would not hesitate to go the extra mile and give you only the best service possible.”
3) Be positive and don’t forget to have fun!
“The night before our prenup shoot, I conditioned myself (and Mel too) that no matter what happens, nothing can ruin our prenup experience! We are both aware that no matter how prepared we and our teams are, there might still be something that will not go as planned. And if this happens, we are just going to look at all the positive things and we will go back to the main reason why we are here in the first place, and that is to celebrate our love and to prepare for our wedding day!”
Actually, Charlene has a 4th tip:
“More importantly, soon-to-weds should always remember that nothing can overdecorate love.”
