Every engagement session is special because each couple is different. Browsing through the photos, you’ll see what makes this Bedazzling Bolinao beach prenup session unique.
Of course, learning about Emman & Myla’s story behind the photos will make you appreciate it all the more. They also shared a whole lot of tips for other soon-to-weds planning their prenup session, which I’m sure a lot will find useful.
They chose to have their engagement session in Bolinao, Pangasinan because it’s a very special place for them.
“There, we celebrated our first month as a couple. The first time we went there, we truly fell in love with the place for its serenity of the beaches and hospitality of the locals. We had good quality time together and we always wanted to go back. This place reminds us of our humble beginnings and makes us grateful for the blessings we receive for the past and coming years.”
Aside from its sentimental value, it was favorable for them that the place is relatively quiet and not too crowded. Even during the time of their shoot, which was during Holy Week. For those looking for a beach location shoot, Emman & Myla shared other points of Bolinao, which could make you consider it as one of your venue options:
- It has a long stretch of beaches. There’s Patar beach for the sandy feel or Ilog Malino if you’re looking for a rocky/coral shoreline
- There’s the Cliffs in Rockview beach that makes for cliffside engagement sessions
- The Patar Lighthouse, which has a mesmerizing view. best to go there before sunset.
- Good deals for accommodations without compromising comfort. Villa Soledad Resort provides true value for money.
- Hidden picture perfect sceneries you will encounter along the road.
As with a lot of couples, so many ideas want around their minds as they tried to set the peg for their prenup concept. Themes & ideas ranged from cowboy, farm, museum, beach, garden, library, anime cosplay, dramas, hotel, nostalgia, to horror/zombies and much more. They weren’t sure what to go with. But what they were sure of was that they wanted it to be distinct and to do something enjoyable that would really define them as a couple.
“Emman & I are a playful, spontaneous and realist couple. Seeing different e-sesh photos online, we selected ideas for props. We decided to DIY our props since I love making crafts. Emman fully supports me on that.” – Myla
The Fluffy Mascot Head
I have to say, the use of the mascot head is indeed a unique touch for this particular engagement session. It’s not the typical beach-themed e-session one would expect but brings its own vibe & character.
Their photographer, Efjay de Leon, suggested the mascot head and showed the couple different fun shots with it. The mascot head couldn’t be easily sourced so the couple decided to make it on their own. What’s great about having props such as these, it may be useful not only for the engagement session but also to add flair to your wedding day set up as well.
“We are planning to use it on our wedding day for postnup shots and decor for our reception. After the wedding, we can convert it to a stuffed toy as a memorabilia”
They searched for locations that did not cost too much in terms of entrance fees. The photos were borne out of the good eye the team had in searching for the hidden beauty in the different spots within their locations. The couple also pointed out how Efjay and his team was spontaneous, easygoing & versatile during the shoot.
As for their engagement session tips, we’ve decided to set a separate post for it because they have so much to share that it deserves a post of its own. Thanks to Emman & Myla.
