Calm Vibe: Capones-Anawangin Prenup

August 10, 2016

Maybe it’s the sweaters against the sea, and greens or the black & white hues, but there’s something about it which gives off a cool and calm vibe to  this particular island E-session.

Beach location prenups would normally be matched with colorful, bohemian or earth-toned island living themes. Micah & Auee’s Capones-Anawangin beach prenup, on the other hand, is a refreshingly cool take on such a warm summery place.

Breathtaking & Exciting

That’s what Micah & Audee were looking for as their E-session backdrop. The islands were a perfect setting for the excitement they were looking for, which is where they ‘can comfortably move around, run, trek or climb onto something.’ They wanted a place where they can ‘truly just have fun’ and be themselves and ‘be captured in the most effortless way’.

Given this, it was at the suggestion of their photographer, Jonathan Keh of Oak St. Studios, to have their E-session in Zambales’ Capones & Anawangin islands. It turned out as the perfect idea since Micah & Auee just fell in loved with the place.

E-Session Adventure

Going on an island location e-session, or any island trip for that matter will likely be quite eventful especially if it would take a long road trip and boat rides such as this trip did.

For the couple, it was an experience that espoused a ‘whirlwind of emotions!’. There’s the excitement of seeing the Capones island for the first time, the tiredness from the long trip, the suspense of looking for their resort and navigating around the Pundaquit town past barking dogs & ducking from “dog islets” in the wee hours of the morning. But overall, it was a fun experience for them, even when they had to wade through water that reached above their knees!

And Misadventures

They encountered a bit of a glitch, though, but one which their creative & resourceful team we easily able to address. They didn’t notice that they were missing a bag when they reached Capones Island. It contained Micah’s pants & other clothes. Now we know how important clothes are for E-sessions. They’re essential ingredients to themed shoots such as this one. Thanks to their photographer & makeup artist, Nhot Bituin, who were calm and reassuring, they were able to come up with the ‘pantless scene’ for one of their layouts. Going through the photos, you’ll see how it was a blessing in disguise with the unique character & style it added to their photos. The topic on the missing pants during the shoot also helped for a lighter mood hence the natural smiles, giggles & laughter that were captured.

Island E-Session Tips

We asked Micah & Auee what tips they can give for couples who would like to go on location for their prenup session and here’s what they have to say:

“For the soon-to-wed people out there, please do check your stuff before going to your prenup location! Make sure you have everything you need especially with out of town prenup shoot. Emotions can be overwhelming and you might get too excited about the shoot so having an OC friend there will not hurt. If not, hire creative photographers and make up artist with great problem solving skills. They will surely bring out the best of an unexpected situation.”

Here are the rest of the photos from Auee and Micah’s engagement session at Capones-Anawangin. Do check them out and tell us what you think:

  1. Fantastic photos!!!!! My boyfriend saw Anawangin on Facebook. He’s like “oh, let’s go to Anawangin”. I don’t want to keep my hopes up so I told him there’s no signal and electricity there. So, he’s like “I can’t live with that”. I replied with the classic “I know”. I saw the shine in his eyes dull in a snap ? but I know I did the right thing because he won’t survive the night in that island ?

  2. When I opened your post, I was really impressed by your first photo. It looks amazing. Going through the rest of the post, I saw there were coming many more :). They’re all incredible. Love the water picture. But I love them all.

  3. I’ve never been to Capones and Anawin. Thanks for sharing these photos. Excellent shots as always. Ayan inggit na naman ako. When I got married in 2000 di pa uso ang pre-nup photo shoots!

  4. Wow, the place, the vibe, everything was wonderful. I love everything, those photos are stunning, great angle,
