When it comes to wedding videographers to watch, there are so many talents out there! Allow us the privilege of introducing you to seven awesome teams. You’re welcome.
Since January is the season for resolutions, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to add one more to your already long list. We can be bossy like that sometimes. But we promise this will be just as worthwhile as all your new get-fit plans, if not easier to stick to! Here it is: We dare you to take note of these videographers to watch and subscribe to their Youtube and Vimeo channels.
Of course, we’re all familiar with the legends in the field (in alphabetical order, lest they accuse us of favoritism): Jason Magbanua, Mayad, Bob Nicolas, and Threelogy. But even future celebrity bride, Ehra Madrigal, believes that all of the suppliers are talented! It’s really just a matter of personal taste on the part of the bride and groom. So, to help widen your choices, we had a chat with some fresh talents in the videography scene who might not be getting as much exposure as the greats. Read on for our no-longer-secret list of videographers to watch out for this year!
In case you haven’t seen them on Metrophoto’s blog, Tom and Ehra Madrigal’s prenup photos shot in Venice have just been made public and they are oh-so-glorious!
Blending sartorial glamour with that carefree je ne sais quoi, Tom and Ehra Madrigal’s prenup session spells pure fantasy—and you won’t believe the story that comes with it either. To find out more about what happened behind the scenes, we had a chat with the future bride herself. Here, she recounts with us how she and her fiancé met, as well as her Top Knotters experience while preparing for and shooting in Venice. As a bonus for our readers, Ehra also shares with us her advice for couples when it comes to selecting their suppliers for the big day. We guarantee they’re 100% practical, perfect even for non-celebrities like most of us!
Using wedding fireworks have direct impact on the environment and on our health! Here are more eco-friendly ways to bring sparkle into your wedding.
We love firework displays for different reasons. Some of us believe that having wedding fireworks will pave the way for a bountiful year ahead. Others can’t help but wax romantic at the sight of rainbow-colored explosions against the dark of night. But anybody who has ever plucked her eyebrows knows that beauty comes at a cost, and this cannot be truer than in the case of fireworks.
It’s become a popular tradition among friends, families, and even workplaces to hold an outreach activity during Christmas season. It’s our way of giving thanks for our blessings the past year—and for THE only blessing we will ever need. But Christmas isn’t the only time you can give back. Why not make your big day more memorable and meaningful by having a charitable wedding too?
Of course, most weddings already cost the couple so much. But there are ways to have a charitable wedding without incurring any extra expenses. Now if that isn’t a heavenly deal, we don’t know what is!
So we weren’t supposed to write anything about Anne Curtis’ engagement to Erwan Heussaff. The internet blew up yesterday when the couple posted their video and that was all anybody was talking about. Why add to the noise, right? Besides, we pride ourselves in being anti-It every once in a while. We can be French like that.
BUT we literally could not sleep last night no matter how many sheep, lambs, rams, and llamas we counted. Instead, we found ourselves reviewing snippets of the video (shown below) in our mental screens. And that was how we knew we just had to write about it: because we can’t be the only ones losing sleep over Anne Curtis’ engagement right? Because it didn’t offer as many answers as it did questions.
If you’re one of those people who prefer to give actual wedding gifts, then be sure to check out this list for thoughtful ideas that would please any bride and groom. (You’re welcome!)
Though we can all agree that weddings are a lot of work for the bride and groom, their families, and their suppliers, the average wedding guest usually encounters a couple of puzzles along the way too. There’s always the dress code to decode. The additional color palette always increases the difficulty to the I-have-nothing-to-wear level. Then there are the wedding gifts, which are sometimes as easy to figure out as Manila weather.
Deciding what to give the couple can be tricky, which is why many guests usually choose to hand over envelopes instead of wedding gifts. Let’s face it, giving the bride and groom a check is not only less complicated, it’s also usually what they want the most! But if you’re one of those people who insist on getting wedding gifts for sentimental or financial reasons, or if you were personally raised by etiquette guru Emily Post, then we’ve got you covered.
There were lots of great moments in Sean and Karel Marquez’ wedding video by Treehouse Story. But arguably the best parts were when they let their eyes and hearts do the talking.
The exchange of vows is usually one of the more anticipated moments in a wedding—we can’t wait to hear the couple profess their love for one another. But sometimes, it’s the silences, the pauses, and the gaze that lingers which communicate from the deepest recesses of our hearts. Ronan Keating, Alison Krauss, and Keith Whitley have known this all along: ‘you say it best when you say nothing at all’. Though lovely in its own unique way, Sean and Karel Marquez’ wedding is no different.
Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but knowing these wedding budget basics can help you get to the big day—without going into debt or resorting to selling your internal organs.
You’ve got the ring and you’ve been floating on Cloud 9 for two weeks. Then the big question hits you: How are we going to pay for all of this? Going through these wedding budget basics one-at-a-time is, therefore, necessary if you want to avoid an all-out Armageddon.

Anybody who’s been to Ilocos is sure to say one thing about it: It’s HOT! We’re talking atomic, Sriracha level heat. But after seeing Karel Marquez and Sean’s engagement photos, it’s clear to us what kind of people it takes to keep their cool amid the rising mercury in this stunning location.
We thought the couple had already outdone themselves with that one-of-a-kind prenuptial video. We loved their metropolitan photo session in Hong Kong. But Karel Marquez and Sean’s engagement photos with Benjie Tiongco, shot in Ilocos and Makati, prove that it really is more fun in the Philippines.
