]]>It’s also a very apt venue for Ron & Elda’s organic-themed wedding.
What we found striking about this wedding is how the couple was very deliberate in carrying out what they wanted for their wedding as it aligned with their values and personalities. They didn’t let themselves be easily influenced with what others would say. It is, after all, their special day.
We were classmates in 6th grade and batchmates throughout High School but we only truly got to know each other after college when one of our common friends invited us to hang out. It’s serendipitous how we’ve had similar interests from partying when we were younger (we we’re each other’s wingman in clubs) to training for marathons and triathlons when we got older. Our constant companionship that eventually led to friendship, and Ron not giving up was I’d say were the key ingredients to starting our relationship. He eventually had to move to Canada. Like others, we had our fair share of struggles through our long-distance relationship but we even then we knew that our love was greater than any distance. He proposed atop Mt. Tapyas in Coron, Palawan on his vacation. He knew exactly how I wanted it to be without me telling it. After 3 and a half years of being together and countless adventures, we got married last August 1, 2016.

Our wedding was designed to be stress-free. We executed our vision of our dream wedding: intimate (with only 34 guests), unplugged as we wanted the ceremony to be solemn and mindful, no traditions, I drove the bridal car from our house in Paranaque to Tagaytay, and personalized a lot of other details. Efjay Deleon and Zoombox Wedding Videos captured all of these.
I told them during our meetings we wanted our theme, organic, reflected in all aspects of the wedding. For photo and video, we wanted it with less directions, capturing moments naturally as they unfold. They were both so easy to talk to, and it even made our wedding more fun as we see them get along and work so well with each other.

It’s so easy to follow and get lost in trends so we think it’s really important to listen to what you want and value as a couple. Sit down with your fiancé, and talk about how you envision your wedding to be. Let it come from within the both of you. Though there are traditions to consider, also reflect if these are important to you. Do not let yourselves be pressured by “how it should be’s” and trying to impress everyone. A wedding is not a TV show to watch, it’s a solemn event to be celebrated. It’ll also only get frustrating if you have your mind set on impressing people. As the first step to marriage, a wedding is a good avenue to get to know your fiancé and what’s important to you.
