Juday and Ryan, who are celebrating their anniversary today, are showing us what real #RelationshipGoals look like—and how to achieve that!
It takes a lot to make a marriage work and last. And we mean A LOT. So whenever we see a more mature couple holding hands or going out on Fridate nights, we can’t help but wonder how they managed to still be in love after all those years—when sometimes we feel like strangling ourselves when the hubby forgets to put the cap on the toothpaste tube, or when the wife keeps nagging us to do just that. Juday and Ryan (surnames optional), who celebrate their eighth year of being married today, are just one of the celebrity couples whom we look to for this kind of #relationshipgoals inspo.
Though their marriage is still relatively young, Juday and Ryan have shown an admirable sense of maturity throughout their journey as a couple. So now, upon the release of the wedding video from their seventh year anniversary and renewal of vows, we’d like to share with you our thoughts on how the couple has kept their marriage strong all along. Read on for our breakdown and to watch the film by Jason Magbanua below.
What happens when you ask professional wedding filmmakers to name their favorite SDE apart from their own? They remind you who the wedding videography greats are!
Last week, we rounded up some established and up-and-coming talents in the Wedding Videography industry to add variety to your Vimeo playlists. (Read the viral article here!) This week, we asked some of these very talents to select their favorite wedding SDE from 2016. The catch? It had to be from someone other than themselves. In the end, it was as if these pros were choosing their bets among the wedding videography greats of the Philippines.
We’re NOT saying this is a definitive list of the best in the business. Art is subjective, we all know that. But we have to admit that the names that popped up on this list didn’t surprise us so much. After all, these filmmakers have been widely considered as wedding videography greats by so many print and online publications, as well as award-giving bodies. Without further ado, we’re listing them here in alphabetical order so you don’t accuse us of playing favorites!
In case you haven’t seen them on Metrophoto’s blog, Tom and Ehra Madrigal’s prenup photos shot in Venice have just been made public and they are oh-so-glorious!
Blending sartorial glamour with that carefree je ne sais quoi, Tom and Ehra Madrigal’s prenup session spells pure fantasy—and you won’t believe the story that comes with it either. To find out more about what happened behind the scenes, we had a chat with the future bride herself. Here, she recounts with us how she and her fiancé met, as well as her Top Knotters experience while preparing for and shooting in Venice. As a bonus for our readers, Ehra also shares with us her advice for couples when it comes to selecting their suppliers for the big day. We guarantee they’re 100% practical, perfect even for non-celebrities like most of us!
So we weren’t supposed to write anything about Anne Curtis’ engagement to Erwan Heussaff. The internet blew up yesterday when the couple posted their video and that was all anybody was talking about. Why add to the noise, right? Besides, we pride ourselves in being anti-It every once in a while. We can be French like that.
BUT we literally could not sleep last night no matter how many sheep, lambs, rams, and llamas we counted. Instead, we found ourselves reviewing snippets of the video (shown below) in our mental screens. And that was how we knew we just had to write about it: because we can’t be the only ones losing sleep over Anne Curtis’ engagement right? Because it didn’t offer as many answers as it did questions.
There were lots of great moments in Sean and Karel Marquez’ wedding video by Treehouse Story. But arguably the best parts were when they let their eyes and hearts do the talking.
The exchange of vows is usually one of the more anticipated moments in a wedding—we can’t wait to hear the couple profess their love for one another. But sometimes, it’s the silences, the pauses, and the gaze that lingers which communicate from the deepest recesses of our hearts. Ronan Keating, Alison Krauss, and Keith Whitley have known this all along: ‘you say it best when you say nothing at all’. Though lovely in its own unique way, Sean and Karel Marquez’ wedding is no different.
Anybody who’s been to Ilocos is sure to say one thing about it: It’s HOT! We’re talking atomic, Sriracha level heat. But after seeing Karel Marquez and Sean’s engagement photos, it’s clear to us what kind of people it takes to keep their cool amid the rising mercury in this stunning location.
We thought the couple had already outdone themselves with that one-of-a-kind prenuptial video. We loved their metropolitan photo session in Hong Kong. But Karel Marquez and Sean’s engagement photos with Benjie Tiongco, shot in Ilocos and Makati, prove that it really is more fun in the Philippines.
No roses, no overlong kisses. In a world where love is often projected by media as an effortless journey, people can’t help but stop and applaud Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas as they let their story unfold minus the edits and filters.
Narrated in our beautiful native Filipino, Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas’ spoken word prenup video inspires with every rush and stop—so much that the video has been viewed 680k times in just one week! But before you get swept away for the nth time, we want to point out to you 5 real love lessons we could all learn from the couple’s story. Take note because it could come in handy when The One comes along!
The year 2016 is shaping up to be the year of the celebrity wedding. Hot on the heels of the nuptials of It girls Solenn, Georgina, and Belle is another gorgeous destination wedding: that of Cristalle Belo Henares’. Cristalle, the eldest daughter of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo and quite the power woman herself, wed Australian hotelier (and almost-Storm Trooper!) Justin Pitt, last September in the famous Lake Como in Italy. After seeing so many weddings this year, we feel like it would take much more to impress us.
But Cristalle Belo is not someone who can easily be outdone. Here are four reasons why her wedding is definitely one for the books.
When news broke out that Maine and Alden were getting married, literally everybody had asked if it was real. Were they actually getting married? Regardless if it’s scripted or not, the AlDub Wedding Highlights (made by Jason Magbanua) prove one thing to be true: love is something we all aspire for. Victor Hugo said so himself: To love or have loved–that is enough.
So here are our favorite moments from the AlDub Wedding Highlights film.
We adore them, not just because of the kilig they bring to our bones, but more so because we believe they contain echoes of the real love that is present in the many weddings and marriages we raise toasts to.
It all began with a split-screen romance. Their love story slowly unraveled before our eyes as we all anticipate where it will all lead. Finally, most of the country felt the ‘kilig’ of our lives with the news of The AlDub Wedding!
Thanks to Jason Magbanua’s magic in storytelling as he did for the likes of Judy Ann and Ryan, Vic and Pauleen, he’s able to capture and share with us the crucial kilig moments of Alden & Maine’s special day.
